What is your occupation?

Do you live in an apartment, townhouse or rural area?

Do you own or rent your home?

Do you live in an HOA community? Or do you have any pet restrictions where you reside? Breed or weight restrictions matter — Ridgebacks are large dogs and are sometimes on restricted lists.

03 Your household

How many adults live in your household?

Do you have any children? If so, what are their ages?

04 Animals, past and present

Have you ever owned a Ridgeback before?

What other animals have you owned?

Do you have any other pets in your home? Species, breed, age, and whether they're spayed or neutered.

Have you ever had to surrender a dog or other animal in the past? If so, please explain. An honest answer here is not disqualifying. Circumstances change, and we'd rather hear it from you.

05 Home and containment

Is your yard fenced? If not, how will you secure your new Ridgeback? Height and type if you know it. Ridgebacks are athletic and can clear a low fence.

06 Life with your Ridgeback

What activities do you plan to engage in with your new Ridgeback? Examples: hiking, biking, lure coursing, obedience, agility, showing, walking, etc.

How are you planning on exercising your new Ridgeback daily?

Are you looking for a pet or show dog?

Do you plan to crate train your new Ridgeback, or do obedience classes?

07 Day-to-day care

Do you have any illnesses or injuries that could affect providing care to a new puppy?

A puppy is like having a newborn in your home. Do you have a plan in place to let your new puppy out for potty breaks while you are at work? Who lets the puppy out, and how often, on a normal working day.
